Terms of Use

1. Service

NovaData provides online courses on big data and business analytics, covering SQL, Python and pandas, and data engineering topics, including in-browser lab exercises that run real SQL and Python, knowledge checks, final exams and certificates, on the web and in the NovaData app.

2. Free and Pro

The first course is free in full. Pro unlocks all other courses with their lessons, labs, exams and certificates.

3. Prices

• Pro monthly — CHF 29 per month
• Pro yearly — CHF 199 per year

4. Subscriptions bought in the app

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. The standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

5. Certificates

A certificate confirms that you completed the course and passed its exam. It is issued by NovaData and is not a state-recognised qualification.

6. Code and lab exercises

The queries, code and worked examples in the courses may be used freely in your own work. The browser lab runs real SQL (DuckDB) and real Python (pandas) against the course's example data; it is a teaching tool and is not certified for any regulated or safety-critical use. Check any result that matters against your own production data and tools.

7. Liability

We take care that the content is correct but cannot be liable for damage or data loss arising from running code, as far as the law allows.

8. Law

Swiss law applies.
